Renowned Ugandan fashion guru Abryanz has made headlines by declining a nomination for the Fashion Influencer of the Year award at a local event, choosing instead to endorse talented singer Elijah Kitaka as a more deserving candidate.

Abryanz, a prominent figure in Uganda’s fashion scene known for his style and influence, has garnered both local and international recognition throughout his career, solidifying his status as one of the country’s leading fashionistas.

The nomination placed him in competition with several notable personalities, including Real Homie Quan, Kissinger The Creator, Fatuma Ahasha, Oscar Kampala, Sheilah Gashumba, Tay Sosho, Tazibone Solomon, Denim Cartel, and Q Senior Fashionkiller. However, in a surprising move, Abryanz took to social media to graciously decline the honor, highlighting the remarkable fashion contributions of his peers.

In his message, he expressed appreciation for the nomination but emphasized the exceptional fashion sense displayed by Elijah Kitaka this year. “I appreciate the nomination, but I believe there are others who have really set the fashion pace this year. I’d like to recommend Elijah Kitaka in my place. Best of luck to everyone! May the best person win,” he wrote.

Abryanz’s endorsement not only showcases his humility but also reinforces the collaborative spirit within Uganda’s vibrant fashion community.
