Victoria University’s first-ever Interfaculty Sports Tournament concluded with a spectacular win for the Faculty of Sciences, which claimed the top spot after an intense week of competition among nine teams. The tournament, aimed at promoting student engagement and healthy living, culminated in a thrilling final match held at Makerere University’s main playground.

The Faculty of Business and Management secured second place, while the Lawyers’ team finished third. Faculty of Sciences captain, Ssenfumu George William, expressed his pride in the victory, noting that the win was beyond their expectations.

Victoria University’s Sports Minister, Anthony Twikirize, highlighted the tournament’s significance in fostering community and active lifestyles, despite the challenges of limited facilities and financial constraints. The Interfaculty Games will return in November.
