Takeda, a leader in health innovation, has pledged JPY 4.6 billion (approximately USD 32 million) to five new Global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partners. This initiative aims to bolster health systems in low- and middle-income countries, addressing systemic disparities and empowering local communities. By 2030, Takeda’s efforts are expected to reach 27 million people across 93 countries, elevating total contributions since 2016 to over JPY 28.8 billion (about USD 199.1 million).
The new partnerships, chosen by over 22,000 Takeda employees globally, underscore the company’s collaborative approach to corporate giving. “Since our founding in 1781, Takeda has prioritized patients and society in our decisions. Our Global CSR Programme reflects our commitment to tackling health challenges worldwide,” said Takako Ohyabu, Chief Global Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Officer.
