Police in Kagadi are on the hunt for unidentified suspects who stole three keys to the Centenary Bank Kagadi branch. The keys were taken from the residence of Tom Luswata, a banking officer at the branch, during a break-in at his home in Namilyango Cell, Kagadi Town Council, on Wednesday night.
In addition to the keys, the thieves made off with Luswata’s shoes and a jacket. The theft was discovered on Thursday morning when Luswata informed his bank manager, Johnson Galimaka, who promptly alerted the police.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region police spokesperson, confirmed that detectives responded quickly, inspecting the bank premises for any breach, but found no signs of unauthorized entry. The incident, believed to target Luswata specifically due to his role at the bank, caused operational delays as management worked to reopen the branch.
