Striker Joel Madondo has returned to FUFA Big League side Busoga United, Swift Sports reports. Madondo, who left BUL FC in June after his one-year contract expired, is back at his former club, where he previously played until 2021 before joining Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca.

He is expected to fill the goal-scoring void left by Emmanuel Ajo, who recently made a controversial move to NEC FC.

In addition to Wydad Casablanca and BUL FC, Madondo has had stints with Gaddafi FC and Tanzania’s DTB FC. He was also part of the Uganda Cranes squad that won the 2019 CECAFA Championship under coach Johnathan McKinstry.

Busoga United recently transitioned to community ownership, marking a new chapter for the club.
