The Bishop of Sebei Diocese, Rt Rev Masaaba Kipto, expressed his deep appreciation for President Yoweri Museveni’s leadership and transformative impact on Uganda during a regional performance assessment in Sebei. Speaking on Thursday at an event focused on the Parish Development Model (PDM) and wealth creation, Masaaba highlighted the President’s dedication to national development since he took office in 1986.

Reflecting on Uganda’s progress, the Bishop noted that when Museveni assumed power, he was just 18 years old, witnessing the country’s struggles, and now, he sees a much-improved nation. He praised the President’s self-discipline and tireless commitment, describing him as a blessing to Uganda for his consistent work toward peace and prosperity.

“Uganda is fortunate to have a President who is so dedicated to his people. You don’t drink, and you always engage with the citizens. We pray for your continued health and success,” Masaaba said.

In a heartfelt prayer, the Bishop expressed his hope that God would make Museveni younger so that the country could continue benefiting from his leadership. “If I were God, I would reverse your years. We still need your leadership,” Masaaba said, emphasizing the President’s unique qualities, such as his focus on wealth creation and peace.

During his tour, President Museveni reiterated his call for the people of Sebei to leverage the peace and development Uganda has achieved to overcome poverty, urging them to use the opportunities provided for greater prosperity. “Everyone must use development and peace to get out of poverty,” he emphasized in his address at Kween District.
