Maj Gen Henry Masiko, Chairperson of the Field Inspection Project at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs (MODVA), has urged civil servants, especially engineers, architects, and planners, to prioritize high-quality work in government projects.
“If you want to earn the public’s trust, deliver work that the government can rely on,” Maj Gen Masiko emphasized during an inspection of Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) Engineers Brigade projects in the Central Region.

He applauded the UPDF Engineers Brigade for leading by example, showcasing dedication to Uganda under President Yoweri Kaguta’s leadership. Beneficiaries of the inspected projects praised the brigade’s professionalism and strong community rapport.
Key projects included an oxygen plant at China Uganda Hospital Naguru, a classroom block at Kololo Secondary School, and renovations at Old Kampala Secondary School, among others.
